Hi, I’m Seamus from Carlow, Ireland and I’m excited to be joining the team at Taylor Physiotherapy. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Sports Rehabilitation & Athletic Therapy from South East Technological University, Ireland. During this time I worked with Carlow GAA, treating sports related injuries and developing return-to-play plans for individual athletes. I then decided to further my studies here in Edinburgh, where I completed my masters in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University.
I aim to bring a holistic approach to physio, using both my degrees to provide hands on manual therapy and the most up to date evidence-based management strategies. I am deeply interested in working alongside athletes of all levels to manage injuries and performance. I am also very passionate about assisting individuals from the general population reach and maintain their ideal level of physical health through exercise.
I have been involved in sports all my life, playing rugby and Gaelic football from a young age. My love for the great Scottish outdoors has seen me take up triathlon and trail running since moving here. I have an appreciation for the needs of team sport and individual athletes alike, and I enjoy promoting physical activity across all levels of participation.
