Diane graduated with s BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in 2002. She completed junior rotations in NHS Lothian then, inspired by her own experiences of pregnancy, she opted to specialise in Women’s Health. Diane worked as a WH specialist at St John’s, Livingston for 6 years then left to teach Pilates and work part-time in a private practice after having her third child, before returning to the NHS for 3 years. She is a certified APPI Pilates Matwork instructor and also trained as a FitBack & Bumps instructor, teaching ante-natal and post-natal education and exercise.
Throughout her career, Diane has been committed to professional development and completed a variety of post-graduate training courses, including Advanced Clinical Skills in Women’s Health , MET of the Lumber Spine and Pelvis and the Discover Physio Series with LJ Lee. Most recently Diane trained in acupuncture and finds this a great addition to physiotherapy treatment.
Personal health issues, including rehabilitation following surgery and living actively with arthritis have given Diane first-hand experience and increased empathy for many of the challenges faced by clients and re-enforced her desire to use her experience, skills and knowledge to help others, She has a keen interest in nutrition, the microbiome and menopause and is currently studying Michelle Lyons Female Health Masterclass series: Menstruation, Maternal and Menopause!
Aside from Physiotherapy , Diane’s interest include cycling, singing, hill-walking and rugby and her first-aid skills are kept fresh with two accident prone rugby playing sons.
